31st Century, Crystal Tokyo is at peace. The Sovereign of Earth, Neo-Queen Serenity has given her blessing and powers to the Sailor Senshi to rebuild the Kingdoms of their respective Planets. The Solar system falls into a time of peace and prosperity.
One hundred years pass and Small Lady Serenity has grown into Princess Lady Serenity. Her childish physique has matured but Neo-Queen Serenity feels that the solar peace has caused her daughter to forget the qualities a true leader must possess.
On the far reaches of the Solar System, Queen Setsuna of Pluto sees a darkness in the distance but, sensing no evil, she feels little concern. Over the course of the night, her planet is attacked and she is awoken violently by her guards. They escort her to her throne room from which she transforms. Seeing no hope as the people from her planet seem to collapse around her, she flees to Neptune.
The darkness spreads to quickly, the Queens Setsuna, Haruka, Michiru, and Hotaru find themselves in Crystal Tokyo just as the Kingdom of Saturn is falling and Rei and Makoto are arriving.
As the Court of the Solar Kingdoms prepares to gather, Queen Minako is intercepted by a familiar face. Shocked and unable to defend herself in time, she is captured in a card of hearts. A few short moments later Neo-Queen Serenity takes her place at the head of the court. Her eyes fall to the card on a table in front of her. She gasps, instantly recognizing Minako, and looks up to find the rest of the Senshi meeting the same fate one by one.
Neo-Queen Serenity feels from the court and races through the palace desperately searching for her husband and daughter. After passing across a hallway, she hears her name and turns to watch King Endymion get captured in a card. Without hesitation she turns and continues to search for Princess Lady Serenity.
The Queen finally makes it to the courtyard and finds her daughter standing face to face with a tall, ghastly looking figure with a white face and a top hat. She screams, raising the Silver Crystal to the air and calling the power of the moon. In an instant, Princess Lady Serenity disappears and the Queen watches as her Kingdom falls to the darkness.
Princess Lady Serenity wakes up in the middle of a different court yard. Her head is pounding and she almost doesn’t notice that she has transformed into a Sailor Senshi. Realization sets in as well as panic and the young Princess clambers to her feet to save her mother. She hears her name and stops. Before her are Sailor Vesta, Sailor Juno, Sailor Ceres, and Sailor Pallas – her friends and members of future members of her court. Her eyes fill with tears and she embraces Sailor Ceres. She is inconsolable until she feels a hand on her shoulder.
When she turns, she meets the golden eyes of Helios. They embrace and he explains that she is in his castle and that he has rebuilt Elysion with the help of the Spectre Senshi (Sailor Petz, Sailor Calaveras, Sailor Berthier, and Sailor Koan). Helios tells Princess Lady Serenity that the Solar System has been taken over but that Elysion remains untouched but their safety has a time limit. He also tells her that the Asteroid Senshi, the Spectre Senshi, and she are the last hopes for the Solar Kingdoms.
With the fate of the Solar Kingdoms in her hands, will Princess Lady Serenity and her Sailor Senshi really be able to uncover the evil behind the vicious attacks and restore peace to the 31st century? Or will evil finally prevail?
